Adding a Conductor to a Diagram
There are several ways to add a
Conductor to a Project Diagram:
- If the required
Conductor is already in the Project Model, click and drag it from the model onto the diagram. This will cause the mouse pointer to change to a
Conductor pointer. Click on a diagram node (such as a contact or conductor attach point) to connect it. Then move to the destination node and click again to connect it.
or
- Create an Instance of a required library conductor by clicking and dragging the Library
Conductor onto the diagram. This will cause the mouse pointer to change to a
Conductor pointer. Click on a diagram node (such as a contact or conductor attach point) to connect it. Then move to the destination node and click again to connect it. An instance of the
Conductor is then automatically created in the Project Model.
or
- Click the
Conductor icon in the Schematic Symbols group of the Toolbar. Click on a diagram node (such as a contact or conductor attach point) to connect it. Then move to the destination node and click again to connect it. Adding a conductor to a diagram using this method does not create an instance in the model. It only creates a graphical representation.
Notes:
- Instances of conductors are assigned an ID with the letter W followed by an integer value by default.
- If a
Conductor has already been connected in a diagram, it will appear with a ~ (tilde) sign in front of it in the Project Model.
- The
Conductor schematic symbol that appears on the Main Toolbar, can be used multiple times on a diagram. Once it has been brought onto a diagram from the Main Toolbar it can be used over and over on the diagram until ESC is pressed.
