Adding Elements or Objects to a Diagram
Project Objects can be added to a diagram in various ways:
- They can be dragged from a Library onto a diagram. This automatically creates an instance of the Library component in the Project Model.
2. They can be dragged onto a diagram from a Project Model.
3. They may be created by clicking the object icon in to toolbar, then clicking on the diagram. The toolbar allows you to create
- Back boxes
- Connectors
- Contacts
- Passive components
- Terminals
- Ground symbols
- Shields
- Conductor
- Cables
- Connections
Using the toolbar icon to place objects on a diagram creates instances of most of the objects in the model. The exceptions are ground symbols, conductors, cables, and connections. These appear as graphical symbols on the diagram, but are not instantiated in the model.
Once an icon is selected, each click will place a new symbol on the diagram until ESC is pressed.
