Behavior of Certain Object Symbols in a Diagram
There are various scenarios and purposes of object behaviors on a diagram, each of which assist the user to perform particular functions..
- Flipping / Mirroring the horizontal position of graphical elements
This is done by using the
Flip tool on the Main Toolbar or by pressing the Space Bar while dragging.
- Indication of valid mates on a Diagram
If you attempt to mate connectors that are not valid mates, a ⬜ Red Rectangle will appear and the connectors will not snap together.
If you mate connectors that are valid mates, a ⬜ Green Rectangle appears and the connectors will snap together.

Hold down the Shift key, click one connector of the mated pair, and drag to unmate the connector.

- Connecting Conductors to Connector Contacts, Terminals, and Conductor Attach Points
When you want to connect a
Conductor to a connector contact terminal, or conductor attach point, a ⬜ Green Rectangle will appear if the connection is valid.
- Re-routing Conductors
At times a connection may become skewed, crooked or jagged. The connection may be re-routed by clicking on it then pressing CTRL+R.
