There is a difference between a Copy of an Object and an Instance of an Object.


When copying an object, such as a Connector, Conductor, Cable, etc. you can change the attributes/definition of the object at will as it is not linked to a library object.


An Instance of an Object is a Copy of that Object in the Library that retains the Type or Defintion of the Libray Object
